Volunteer

Volunteers have been the life-blood of the YMCA since its beginning in 1844. Today volunteers continue to play a major role. Our Board of Directors set policy and direction and provide oversight to the YMCA's operations. Program volunteers serve as mentors, fundraisers, coaches, and tutors. If you have an interest in serving as a volunteer, either on the "policy" or "program" side, please call Russ Hayward at (209)472-9622.

Ultimate Football Party

Since 1994 this annual bash has been a popular and well attended event.  This year’s Ultimate Football Party consists of a Raiders vs. New England Patriots football game at the Oakland Coliseum.  Imagine the excitement of seeing one of the emerging NFL dynasties, the return of Tom Brady to the area in which he grew up, the return of Randy Moss to the area in which he’s despised!

Participants ride a comfortable coach to Oakland and sit in luxury boxes near the 40 yard line with incredible views of the field and game.  Ample food and beverages are always available.  This year’s game is scheduled for Sunday, December 14th.  For more information and ticket prices, call Russ Hayward at 472-9622.

Super Bowl Raffle
This year the A. G. Spanos Companies is providing six sets of grand prizes (two tickets to the Super Bowl and $2,000 (for hotel and travel) to the winners of the Super Bowl Raffle.  Tickets go on sale on September 10th.  Each ticket is $100.  And remember… you can order on-line on our YMCA homepage.

Strong Kids Campaign

Our “sustaining membership campaign” is held each spring.  Contributors can help “sustain” the YMCA and its programs   In 2008 the YMCA raised nearly $30,000, and in 2009 we expect to exceed that great number.

YMCA Heritage Club

Join our "Heritage Club," the group of individuals who have chosen to "leave a legacy" to the YMCA through a contribution to the Y's Endowment Fund. Please consider including the YMCA in your long term charitable plans, and help our YMCA grow even more. For more information, please call Russ Hayward at (209)472-9622.
